Janssen Pharmaceuticals is a pharmaceutical company located in Beerse, Belgium that is wholly owned by multinational corporation Johnson & Johnson.1)

COVID-19

Janssen is part of the COVID-19 Therapeutics Accelerator funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Wellcome Trust, and Mastercard to “accelerate treatments, vaccines, and diagnostics”.2)

Ad26.COV2.S Vaccine

Janssen is distributing a recombinant “non replicating viral vector” COVID-19 vaccine product in the United States and other countries worldwide.3) 4) It is approved but not widely distributed in Canada.5)

On June 1, 2023, the Food and Drug Administration revoked the EUA for Janssen's product.6)
