Oak Valley Health released a staggering joint statement with the Regional Municipality of York, MacKenzie Health, and Southlake Regional Health Centre on October 1, 2021 stating, “​​unvaccinated individuals are prolonging the pandemic and are the driving force behind the increase in cases and hospitalizations across all four York Region hospitals.”1)

Oak Valley is part of the ”COVID-19 Cohort Study (CCS): Study of the epidemiology of COVID-19 in healthcare workers and their households” run by the Toronto Invasive Bacterial Diseases Network (TIBN) at Mount Sinai Hospital. The webpage of the study is sponsored by Pfizer.2) The investigators of this study are former National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) member and current Ontario COVID-19 Science Advisory Table member Allison McGeer3) 4) (who has received funding from Pfizer, Moderna, Merck, Medicago, Janssen, GlaxoSmithKline and AstraZeneca),5) 6) 7) Brenda Coleman (who has received funding from Seqirus)8) and Dawn Bowdish (who has received funding from Pfizer).9) 10)
