Following the collapse of cryptocurrency exchange FTX and its affiliated philanthropic ventures, effective altruism as a whole was thrown into the spotlight under intense scrutiny.2)



The Life You Can Save

Founded by Peter Singer after his book by the same name, The Life You Can Save aims “to create a world where everyone has an opportunity to build a better life and where there’s no suffering or death due to extreme poverty.” It does this “by curating a group of nonprofits that save or improve the most lives per dollar.”3)


William MacAskill

William MacAskill is a Scottish philosopher credited with founding the modern movement of effective altruism.
