Building a Stronger Future is an American foundation founded by brothers Sam Bankman-Fried and Gabe Bankman-Fried.1)
History
On February 28, 2022, Building a Stronger Future announced a $5 million grant to ProPublica to “support reporting on biosecurity and pandemic preparedness.”2) The three-year grant was intended to “support investigations into ongoing questions about the COVID-19 pandemic, biosecurity and public health preparedness.”
On December 20, ProPublica announced that it was returning the initial $1.6 million it had received “and that it has terminated its relationship with the Building a Stronger Future foundation following allegations of fraudulent activities against Sam Bankman-Fried.”3)
