Masks4Canada

Masks4Canada is a Canadian volunteer initiative focused on promoting the use of masks and face coverings to prevent the transmission of SARS-CoV-2, including the imposition of mask mandates.

History

COVID-19

Masks4Canada was formed by a group of doctors and dentists in British Columbia during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic.1)

On August 4, 2020, the group published an open letter to Bonnie Henry, Adrian Dix and Premier John Horgan asking for the implementation of “mandatory mask wearing (or use of face coverings)”.2) They additionally recommended “the implementation of a public education initiative on the benefits of mask wearing and its proper usage in limiting the spread of COVID-19.” They cited the following studies:
