Children's Vaccine Initiative
The Children’s Vaccine Initiative (CVI) was founded following the World Summit for Children held in New York in September 1990.
CVI was sponsored by UNICEF, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), World Health Organization (WHO), World Bank, and the Rockefeller Foundation.1) CVI was retired in 1999 and replaced by Gavi.2)
