Trust Stamp is an American digital identity company based in Atlanta, Georgia.
History
Trust Stamp was founded in 2016 by Gareth Genner and Andrew Gowasack.1) The company won the People's Choice Award at the 2018 Plug and Play Fintech Expo,2) and later that year received the top recognition among participants in the Plug and Play Abu Dhabi Global Market Fintech program’s first cohort.3)
In August 2019, Trust Stamp was accepted into the United Kingdom National Cyber Security Centre's Cyber Accelerator.4)
The company “established its R&D hub” in Malta in 2020 with a $1.15 million award from the Republic of Malta.5)
On June 26, Mastercard revealed that Trust Stamp was “working with Mastercard to integrate its digital identity capabilities” into the Wellness Pass, which was preparing to launch alongside Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance in West Africa.6)
In September 2021, Trust Stamp announced it had struck a $3.9 million contract with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) under the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS).7)
Trust Stamp established the Quantum Foundation, a “non-profit purpose foundation” to “support the development of early-stage, leading–edge technology companies in Malta.” The Foundation signed an agreement in 2022 with Malta Enterprise and Plug and Play to establish the Malta Acceleration Program.8)
