Sam Trabucco
John Samuel “Sam” Trabucco is an American cryptocurrency business executive. He is the former co-Chief Executive Officer of Alameda Research.
History
Education
Trabucco went to high school at the Roxbury Latin School.1) He attended the Canada/USA MathCamp in 2010 hosted at Mount Holyoke College where he met Sam Bankman-Fried.2) 3)
He then studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 2011-2015, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science.
Career
Trabucco worked as a teaching assistant at the Art of Problem Solving (AoPS) from April 2011 to May 2013. From June to August 2013, he worked as a software development intern at State Street. He then pursued a trading internship at Susquehanna International Group (SIG) from June-August 2014, returning as a bond ETF trader in August 2015 and remaining with the firm until August 2017.

Trabucco joined Alameda Research as a trader in March 2019, and was promoted to co-CEO in August 2021. He resigned one year later in August 2022.4)
