Rapid European COVID-19 Emergency Research Response
The Rapid European COVID-19 Emergency Research Response (RECOVER) research consortium is a European clinical research initiative. It is a project of the Platform for European Preparedness Against (Re-)emerging Epidemics (PREPARE), and is funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 program.
History
According to the program's official website, RECOVER was “first triggered into Mode 1 on 22 January 2020 following a spark of COVID-19 cases in Wuhan, China.1) Mode 1 is described as the preparation stage. Mode 2, the mobilisation stage, began on February 6, 2020, and Mode 3, the response stage, began on March 3, 2020. The initiation of “RECOVER” followed.
