Public Health Ontario is a Canadian public health authority for the province of Ontario.

History

COVID-19 crisis

In September 2021, Public Health Ontario adjusted their guidance to suggest youth aged 18-24 receive the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine instead of the Moderna mRNA-1273 product due to elevated risk of myocarditis. However, individuals in that group could still receive the Moderna shot so long as they gave “informed consent.”1)
