Porter Novelli is an American public relations firm based in New York City, New York. It serves a global client base, and is part of Omnicom Group.
History
The firm was founded in Washington, D.C., in 1972 by Bill Novelli and Jack Porter, advertising executives, who worked together to market the Peace Corps. The company's first major client was the National Institutes of Health (NIH), for whom they created the National High Blood Pressure Education Program.1)
In April 2022, the firm co-published a study with the CDC National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities and the Oak Ridge Institute of Science and Education on a paid digital marketing campaign to promote the use of a mobile health app for parents to track their child's development.2)
