Peter Sloly
Peter John Sloly is the Chief of the Ottawa Police Service (OPS).1) He is notable in the COVID-19 pandemic for his role in the institutional response to the Freedom Convoy 2022.
Education
Sloly received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from McMaster University in 1989, and a Master of Business Administration from York University's Schulich School of Business in 2004. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy.2)

Prior to his police career, Sloly played soccer, including for the Canada men's national team in 1984.
Toronto Police Service
Sloly joined the Toronto Police Service (TPS) in 1988 where he served for 27 years, including as a deputy chief of police from 2009 to 2016.3)
