Marco Cavaleri is a pharmacologist serving as the head of Biological Health Threats and Vaccines Strategy at the European Medicines Agency (EMA).1)
He is an “expert” associated with the Global Antibiotic Research & Development Partnership (GARDP)'s REVIVE program.

COVID-19
Cavaleri participated in a February 11-12, 2020 event titled “2019 novel Coronavirus Global research and innovation forum: towards a research roadmap” co-hosted by the World Health Organization R&D Blueprint and Global Research Collaboration for Infectious Disease Preparedness (GLOPID-R). He and Ana Laura Salvati presented on the topic of “Candidate therapeutics R&D”.2)
Cavaleri is the Chair of the European Medicines Agency's COVID-19 Taskforce.
