Maddie de Garay
Maddie de Garay is an American teenager based in Cincinnati, Ohio. She became widely known due to her serious injuries following receipt of Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine, becoming an advocate for the large and growing population of vaccine-injured people alongside her mother, Stephanie de Garay.
History
Maddie was a participant in the Phase III clinical trial for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. She received a first dose in late December 2020 at the Gamble Vaccine Research Center at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, and the second in January 2021.1)
Her story was featured on an episode of The Highwire with Del Bigtree in August 2022.2)
