Kristin Klein

Dr. Kristin Klein is a Canadian public health and preventive medicine specialist based in Edmonton, Alberta. She is notable during the COVID-19 pandemic due to her position with the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI).1)

Education

Klein holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Calgary, and a medical degree and fellowship training in Public Health and Preventive Medicine from the University of Alberta.

Affiliations

Dr. Klein served as the Deputy Medical Officer of Health for the Government of Alberta.

She holds two positions with Alberta Health Services, serving as Associate Provincial Medical Officer of Health for Communicable Disease Control and as a local Medical Officer of Health for Northern Alberta.2) 3)

She has contributed to several provincial and national committees including representing the Council of Chief Medical Officers of Health as liaison member to the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI). She also holds a clinical appointment with the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Alberta.
