The COVID-19 Therapeutics Accelerator (CTA) is self-described as “a philanthropic collaboration supporting efforts to research, develop and bring effective treatments against COVID-19 to market quickly and accessibly.”¹⁾

CTA is co-funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Wellcome Trust and Mastercard, and was announced on March 10, 2020.^{2) 3)}
