The BC Public Service Agency is a Canadian government administration agency within the Government of British Columbia.

History

COVID-19

On October 5, 2021, the agency announced that provincial employees would need to receive two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine and provide proof of vaccination by November 22 or be placed on unpaid leave.1) As of December 12, 2022, 163 employees had been granted an exemption from the policy on various grounds,2) and 58 were working from home.3) 4)

On March 10, 2023, the agency announced that the policy would end as of April 4.5) According to the statement, “those who refused to follow the mandate and who were placed on administrative leave may return to the workplace,” which the government described as “a small number of employees” of around 2% of the total affected workforce.6)
