Dr. Vera Etches MD, CCFP, MHSc, FRCPC is a Canadian public health official based in Ottawa, Ontario. She is the Medical Officer of Health for Ottawa Public Health.

On August 7, 2022, Odessa Orlewicz alleged that Etches had collapsed at a barbecue. Citing an anonymous “insider”, Orlewicz said that healthcare workers had been asked not to reveal that this had occurred.1)
