University of Windsor is a Canadian university in Windsor, Ontario.

History

COVID-19

The university received several grants in July 2021 from the Government of Canada for projects titled “Students Igniting Vaccine Confidence Program in Windsor-Essex,” “Medicine (on) Wheels Benefitting Indigenous-Led Education (MOWBILE) Vaccination Confidence Programme,” “Improving the Uptake of COVID-19 Vaccine among the African Population Living in Windsor-Essex County”, and “Increasing education and vaccine literacy among adults in southwestern Ontario.”1) The total amount awarded to the university through the program was $199,491 CAD. It was awarded through a grant program called “Encouraging Vaccine Confidence in Canada” jointly administered by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC).2)
