Scott Klarenbach

Dr. Scott Klarenbach, MD, MSc, FRCPC is a Canadian nephrologist.

Klarenbach received his medical training at the University of Alberta, and completed his Master of Science in Health Economics at the University of York.¹⁾

Klarenbach is Director of the Real-World Evidence Consortium at the University of Calgary, which conducts pharmacoepidemiologic and pharmacoeconomic research.³⁾ In his declaration of interest from June 2022, Klarenbach noted that the success of RWEC “is contingent on industry funding”, though he doesn't receive any honoraria himself.

Klarenbach has published research funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada through the Jewish General Hospital.⁴⁾
