Pat Armstrong

Armstrong held a Canada Health Services Research Foundation/Canadian Institute of Health Research Chair in Health Services.¹⁾

Armstrong sits on the Congregate Care Setting Working Group of the Ontario COVID-19 Science Advisory Table.²⁾

In 2011, Armstrong was elected as a Fellow to the Royal Society of Canada.³⁾

Armstrong received a grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) to study families and COVID-19 in long-term care.⁴⁾

Armstrong is Distinguished Research Professor in the Department of the Sociology at York University.⁵⁾ She is the principal investigator for the school’s Re-imagining Long-Term Care project.⁶⁾

Armstrong is the author, co-author, or editor of over 25 books.⁷⁾ While she does retain some royalties from her books, most of the money goes to charities.⁸⁾
