OpenVAERS
The OpenVAERS Project is an online platform that aggregates and presents adverse event reports published by the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS).
OpenVAERS is run by “a small team of people with vaccine injuries or who have children with vaccine injuries.”1)
History
In August 2021, VICE author David Gilbert doxxed OpenVAERS founder Liz Willner, revealing her identity, social media accounts and prior employment details after identifying her through WHOIS records.2) Gilbert further accused Willner of spreading “anti-vax misinformation,” which Willner strongly disagreed with.3) The VICE article cited a previous investigation published by Logically which provided much of Willner's private information, and revealed that OpenVAERS was “outperforming” VAERS in terms of traffic.4)
