Nima Momeni is an information technology consultant and entrepreneur based in Emeryville, California.

History
Education
According to Momeni's LinkedIn profile, he attended the University of California Berkeley, as well as Laney College and Vista College.4) However, UC Berkeley spokesperson Dan Mogulof claimed there was “no record of attendance or graduation” on file for Momeni.5)
Court records from Alameda County indicate Momeni was “charged with a misdemeanor in 2004 for allegedly driving while intoxicated.”6)
Career
Momeni worked at Marfic Technologies from 2005-2007 as a system/network engineer. He then worked at Coast Range Technologies as an IT administrator/consultant from 2006-2012.
On March 17, 2010, Momeni incorporated Expand Information Technology under the name Expand IT Services, LLC.7)
In 2011, Momeni was charged with “allegedly selling a switchblade knife and driving with a suspended license.”8)
Arrest
On April 13, 2023, Momeni was arrested by the San Francisco Police Department on suspicion of having committed the murder of Bob Lee on April 4.9) Charges against him were filed by District Attorney Brooke Jenkins.10) According to Police Chief Bill Scott, Momeni and Lee knew each other.
A total of three search warrants were executed. Several of Momeni's neighbours were interviewed in response to the arrest, with one anonymously alleging that “Momeni had come to his door the night of the incident, asking for alcohol.” Another neighbour, Chris Donatiello, expressed shock at the arrest and described Momeni as “a super nice guy.” A third neighbour was Sam Singer, who recently opened an office for his Singer Associates firm in the same building as Momeni's live-work space.11)
Momeni's profile photo on LinkedIn was updated less than one week prior to his arrest.12)
Momeni's hearing, originally scheduled for April 14, was abruptly postponed.13) His lawyer, Paula Canny, held a brief press conference in which she questioned whether the video footage of the incident actually substantiated the accusations. She asked for the hearing to be postponed until the official coroner's report was complete and available to the defense. Finally, she indicated Momeni would enter a “not guilty” plea.14)
