Nili Kaplan-Myrth

Dr. Nili Kaplan-Myrth MD, CCFP, PhD is a Canadian family physician based in Ottawa, Ontario. She practices medicine at Common Ground Collaborative Care.¹⁾

Kaplan-Myrth describes herself as a feminist community activist, and her LinkedIn profile notes that she is an “old fashioned community family doctor with a feminist twist.”

Kaplan-Myrth completed medical school at the University of Ottawa. She won a Commonwealth scholarship to University College London, and a Fulbright for her PhD at Yale University where she wrote her thesis on Indigenous self-determination and health.

As of September 2022, Kaplan-Myrth requires that patients wear masks for all appointments.²⁾

In August 2022, Kaplan-Myrth announced she was running to be a trustee for the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board, stating “we need to ensure there are voices that don’t debate the validity of science.”³⁾
