Ian Barr

Professor Ian Barr is an Australian biological researcher and public health specialist.1)

Affiliations

World Health Organization

Deputy Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Reference and Research on Influenza at the Doherty Institute, where he has had over 35 years' experience in biological research and development in academic institutions and at CSL on various topics such as vaccine development.2)

In 2007, and then from 2015-2016, Barr was on the Advisory Group of Experts for WHO Consultations on the Composition of Influenza Virus Vaccines.3)

Immunisation Coalition

Barr is a member of the Immunisation Coalition, which is funded by vaccine/pharmaceutical manufacturers Pfizer, Apotex, Roche, CSL/Seqirus, GlaxoSmithKline, Sanofi and Merck, as well as Google.4)
