Heather Keegan
Career
Starting in September 2001, Keegan worked for the Canadian International Development Agency (which has since re-organized into Global Affairs Canada).1) For a year between 2005-2006, she managed the child survival project in Ethiopia, a $17.5 million initiative to provide measles immunization, pneumonia and diarrhea treatments, and related health and nutrition programming.2) In this role, she consulted and participated in regular working groups with international health organizations such as UNICEF and the World Health Organization on a regular basis.
