Global Shapers Calgary

Global Shapers Calgary, otherwise known as Calgary Shapers or YYC Shapers, is a chapter of the World Economic Forum's Global Shapers Community based in the Canadian city of Calgary, Alberta.

The group's activities center around four pillars: Climate Action, Future Cities, Civic Life, and Healthy Cities.

History

COVID-19

Beginning in April 2021, the Calgary Shapers supported 19 to Zero by hosting town hall sessions on COVID-19 vaccines.1)

In September 2021, the group published a report authored by Hannah Rahim and Christian Ladores discussing the mental health situation in Calgary with input from the Canadian Mental Health Association and Catholic Family Service.2)
