CanAge

CanAge is a Canadian seniors' advocacy organization based in Toronto, Ontario. It is hosted at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work within the University of Toronto.

History

COVID-19

CanAge received a $50,000 CAD grant in July 2021 from the Government of Canada for a project titled “Pan-Canadian Seniors' Virtual Vaccine Summit.”1) It was awarded through a grant program called “Encouraging Vaccine Confidence in Canada” jointly administered by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC).2)

Additionally, CanAge received $400,000 from the Public Health Agency of Canada's Immunization Partnership Fund to promote COVID-19 vaccines to “marginalized older adults and their caregivers.”3)
