Camille Lemieux

Dr. Camille Lemieux is a Canadian family physician based in Toronto, Ontario.

Education

Lemieux received a Bachelor of Sciences in pharmacy from the University of Toronto in 1984, a Doctor of Medicine from Queen's University in 1994, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ottawa in 2001, and a Master of Public Health from the Dalla Lana School of Public Health in 2012.1)

Career

Infection Prevention and Control Canada

Lemieux has served as a member of the Board of Directors for Infection Prevention and Control Canada.2)

Canadian Nosocomial Infection Surveillance Program

Lemieux has co-authored research as a member of the Canadian Nosocomial Infection Surveillance Program.3)

University Health Network

Lemieux has worked as Chief of Family Medicine at the Department of Family and Community Medicine under the University Health Network (UHN) since November 2019.4) She works at the Toronto Western Hospital location, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Toronto Western Family Health Team.5)

She was formerly president of the UHN Medical Staff Association.

College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario

Lemieux was elected to the council of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) in December 2020.6) She represents District 10 (Toronto) alongside Glen Bandiera, Deborah Robertson, and Patrick Safieh.7) She also previously served as a CPSO assessor.

Research

Influenza

Lemieux has published research challenging mandatory influenza vaccination policies for healthcare workers. She has contributed expert testimony to legal cases on the topic.8)
