Ashini Weerasinghe

Ashini Weerasinghe is a Canadian epidemiologist based in Toronto, Ontario.

Career and Affiliations

Cancer Care Ontario

Weerasinghe previously worked writing scientific manuscripts and presentations within the Ontario Breast Screening Program at Cancer Care Ontario.

Centre for Addiction and Mental Health

She has worked as a research coordinator within the Nicotine Dependence Clinic at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, where she established, maintained and managed a database of health care practitioners providing smoking cessation counselling in Ontario.

Education

Weerasinghe holds a master’s degree in epidemiology from the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto.

Public Health Ontario

Weerasinghe is an epidemiologist at Public Health Ontario.

Weerasinghe is a member of the secretariat of the Ontario COVID-19 Science Advisory Table, including for the Behavioural Science Working Group.1)
