History
In 2016, masked protestors were arrested following a violent anti-Islam demonstration in Melbourne, Australia.1)
In 2018, Republican Representative Dan Donovan of New York introduced Bill HR 6054, also called the “Unmasking Antifa Act of 2018”, seeking to “punish anyone wearing a mask or disguise who 'injures, oppresses, threatens, or intimidates' someone else exercising a right guaranteed under the Constitution.”2)
