Social Science
A social science is an academic discipline that seeks to apply the methods of science to study societies, including the individuals who make up those societies.
There is still debate as to whether social sciences should be considered science given that individual agents make independent decisions that often defy statistical prediction.
Branches of Social Science
The list of social sciences may be somewhat arbitrary in terms of boundaries and inclusion. For some or all of these disciplines, the scientific method may simply be one tool for analysis.
