Cetus Corporation

Cetus Corporation was an American biotechnology company based in Emeryville, California. It is described as the first biotechnology company.1)

Kary Mullis pioneered the use of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) while working at Cetus.2)

History

Cetus was founded in 1971 by Donald Glaser, Moshe Alafi, Ron Cape, and Peter Farley.
