Glen Bandiera

Dr. Glen Bandiera MD, FRCPC, BASc (Engin.) MEd, is a Canadian emergency physician in Toronto, Ontario. He is notable in the COVID-19 pandemic due to his position with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.¹⁾

Bandiera attended McMaster University from 1990 - 1998 for his Doctor in Medicine, then completed his Master of Education at the University of Toronto from 1996-2000.^{2) 3)} He also holds a degree in Engineering and Management Science from the University of Waterloo.⁴⁾

Bandiera formerly served as President of the Canadian Association for Medical Education.^{5) 6)}

Bandiera represents Electoral District 10 at the CPSO.⁷⁾

Bandiera is a member of the National Assessment Collaboration on the Medical Council of Canada.⁸⁾

In June 2021, Bandiera was announced as the new Executive Director for the Office of Specialty Education (OSE) at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. His term began August 30, 2021.⁹⁾

Bandiera is a member-at-large of the International Competency-Based Medical Education (ICBME) Collaborators, an initiative hosted at the RCPSC.¹⁰⁾

Bandiera is employed at St. Michael’s Hospital under Unity Health Toronto.^{11) 12)}

Bandiera is the Associate Dean of Post-Graduate Medical Education for the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto.^{13) 14)}
