Benjamin Bloom's Two Sigma Problem
In 1984, University of Chicago Professor of Education Benjamin Bloom published a study showing that mastery learning, and particularly in conjunction with one-on-one or one-on-few tutoring instruction, led to dramatical improvements with respect to the conventional classroom model.1)
