Countries Pausing Covid Vaccines

A number of Scandinavian countries, Germany, France, and Taiwan have suspended the Covid injections for young people, mostly Moderna, and in one case Pfizer.

Iceland Suspends Moderna

October 18, 2021: Iceland suspends Moderna Covid 19 Injection due to “the increased incidence of myocarditis and pericarditis after vaccination with the Moderna vaccine, as well as with vaccination using Pfizer/BioNTech,” the chief epidemiologist said in a statement.

Finland Suspends Moderna in Young People

Sweden Suspends Moderna in Young People

The Swedish health agency said it would pause using the shot for people born in 1991 and later as data pointed to an increase of myocarditis and pericarditis among youths and young adults that had been vaccinated.
