Kofi Annan Foundation

The Kofi Annan Foundation is a not-for-profit organization established in Switzerland in 2007 by the late former United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan.

Donors to the KAF include the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Carnegie Corporation of New York, European Commission, Facebook, Government of Switzerland, Interpeace, Meta, Migros Aid Fund, Open Society Foundations, Twitter, and the United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF).¹⁾

The KAF is partnered with Action Mental Health, Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, Carter Centre, Global Commission on Drug Policy, International Drug Policy Consortium, International Foundation for Electoral Systems, International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance, Stanford University, UNESCO, United Nations, United Nations Department of Political Affairs, United Nations Development Programme, United Nations Foundation, United Nations Information Service, United States Institute of Peace, and the World Food Programme Innovation Accelerator.²⁾
