The Global Preparedness Monitoring Board (GPMB) is a non-governmental organization that lobbies governments to “prepare for and mitigate the effects of global health emergencies” and to “strengthen global health security through stringent independent monitoring and regular reporting of preparedness to tackle outbreaks, pandemics, and other emergencies with health consequences.” The group was convened in 2018 by the World Bank Group and the World Health Organization.1) 2)
