| In 2004, the [[National Security Agency]] (NSA) approached AoPS to take over the [[USA Mathematical Talent Search]] (USAMTS), which the agency had run for six years. This resulted in the forming of the [[Art of Problem Solving Initiative|Art of Problem Solving Foundation]] to administer the event. |
