Martin Makary

Dr. Martin Adel Makary is a British-American physician, surgeon, professor at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, author and editor-in-chief of MedPage Today,

He practices surgical oncology and gastrointestinal laparoscopic surgery at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.

COVID-19

Makary has been outspoken against requiring COVID-19 vaccinations across the board, explaining that “vaccinating everyone—including eventually every newborn—in order to control the pandemic is based on the false assumption that the risk of dying from COVID is equally distributed among the population—but it’s not.”1) He advocates against pressuring people to get vaccinated, particularly children and those with natural immunity to the SARS-CoV-2 virus.2)
