Dr. Lucie Marisa Bucci is a Canadian vaccine specialist based in Ottawa, Ontario.

Career and Affiliations

University of Montreal

Bucci previously worked as a researcher at the Centre de recherche en droit public (CRDP) at the University of Montreal.1) 2) In this position, she delivered a presentation in 2006 on ethics and nanotechnology in partnership with NanoQuébec and the Institut international de recherche en éthique biomédicale (IIREB).3)

She presented at the Genome Canada International Conference in October 2007 on the topic of public health genomics. The event was titled “2020 Vision: Adaptation to Environmental Change”.4)

Bucci was a researcher at Genome Quebec.5)

Canadian Public Health Association

Immunize Canada

Bucci is a Senior Manager for Immunize Canada, an initiative under the Canadian Public Health Association.6)

She began in this position in 2010, when the initiative was called the Canadian Coalition for Immunization Awareness & Promotion.7)

Immunize Canada is funded by GlaxoSmithKline, Merck, Moderna, Novartis, Seqirus, Pfizer, and Sanofi.8) Bucci acknowledged this as a conflict of interest during a 2015 presentation.9)

In December 2020, Bucci delivered a presentation on vaccine hesitancy to a World Health Organization panel.10)

Canadian Immunization Conference

Bucci has been an active collaborator in the Canadian Immunization Conference (CIC) as a member of their Scientific Committee.11)

Public Health Agency of Canada

Bucci served as a liaison representative for the Canadian Public Health Association on the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI), responsible for approving COVID-19 vaccines in Canada.12)

Vaccine Safety Net

Bucci is a member of the Vaccine Safety Net Advisory Group.13) VSN is an initiative by the World Health Organization.

Children's Healthcare Canada

Bucci is a member of the Advisory Committee for Children's Healthcare Canada.14)

International Federation on Ageing

In June 2019, Bucci delivered a presentation to the International Federation on Ageing.15) The IFA is partnered with Pfizer and others.16)
