International Classification of Diseases

The International Classification of Diseases (ICD) is an evolving system for classification of injuries and disease for the purposes of insurance and documentation of medical statistics.

ICD-10

ICD-10 is the most recent ICD system. Originally scheduled for transition from ICD-9 in 2013, it took effect in 2015.1)
