GAVI

GAVI, officially Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance¹⁾ is a public–private global health partnership with the goal of increasing access to immunization in poor countries.²⁾

The organization was founded by Bill Gates through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Gavi's core partners are the World Health Organization (WHO), the World Bank, and UNICEF.³⁾

As a founding partner of Gavi, the Gates Foundation has brought international attention to the cause of immunisation and has made several commitments to Gavi, totalling USD 4.1 billion to-date. In 2000, the foundation made an initial USD 750 million commitment to the Vaccine Fund, which was catalytic in bringing other donors to support vaccine delivery and creating Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance.

In February 2007, the foundation committed USD 50 million to launch the first AMC to expedite the development and availability of pneumococcal vaccines. In June 2011, the Gates Foundation committed over USD 1 billion to Gavi over the period 2011-2015; of this commitment, USD 50 million was reserved for the Gavi Matching Fund. An additional, USD 250 million of challenge grant moneys were pledged to match additional funds raised earlier by other donors.

In June 2014 the Gates Foundation committed an additional USD 241 million to Gavi towards its complementary role on polio eradication including support for IPV over the period 2015-2018. This is complementing GPEI’s work on strengthening routine immunisation and introducing inactivated polio vaccine (IPV) in Gavi-supported countries.

At the Berlin Pledging Conference 2015, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation announced USD 1.55 billion for Gavi’s next 2016-2025 strategic period.

At the 2020 Global Vaccine Summit, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation announced USD 1.6 billion for Gavi’s next 2021-2025 strategic period. In addition to this funding, the Foundation pledged USD 150 million in support of Gavi’s COVAX AMC to ensure equitable access to vaccines for AMC-eligible economies. ⁴⁾

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation made the announcement on January 27, 2015 at the Gavi Replenishment Conference in Berlin, hosted by German Chancellor Angela Merkel. A press release from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation said U.S $7.5 billion was made in pledges, “the largest-ever financial commitment to support childhood immunization,” (http://www.gatesfoundation.org/Media-Center/Press-Releases/2015/01/GAVI-Replenishment-Conference).

This funding will help Gavi “reach an additional 300 million children with vaccines by 2020.” Funds for vaccines could save up to seven million lives by protecting children from such diseases as pneumonia, measles and severe diarrhea. ⁵⁾

Dr Geert Vanden Bossche is an independent virologist and vaccine expert who was formerly employed at GAVI and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. His professional qualification and statement should end all social media censorship of all posts expressing legitimate ideas of concern towards mass COVID19 vaccination.

This week he wrote an open letter appealing to “all authorities, scientists and experts around the world, to whom this concerns: the entire world population” to immediately halt mass COVID19 vaccination, claiming there is compelling evidence that the mass rollout will dramatically worsen the consequences of the pandemic.

Conclusion… If we, human beings, are committed to perpetuating our species, we have no choice left but to eradicate these highly infectious viral variants. This will, indeed, require large vaccination campaigns. However, NK cell-based vaccines will primarily enable our natural immunity to be better prepared (memory!) and to induce herd immunity (which is exactly the opposite of what current Covid-19 vaccines do as those increasingly turn vaccine recipients into asymptomatic carriers who are shedding virus).

So, there is not one second left for gears to be switched and to replace the current killer vaccines by life-saving vaccines. I am appealing to the WHO and all stakeholders involved, no mater their convicton, to immediately declare such action as THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY OF INTERNATIONAL CONCERN.
