Countries Pausing COVID-19 Vaccines

A number of Scandinavian countries, Germany, France, and Taiwan have suspended the use of COVID-19 injections for young people, mostly Moderna, and in one case Pfizer.

Finland Suspends Moderna in Young People

Germany Halts Moderna in People Under 30

Iceland Suspends Moderna

October 18, 2021: Iceland suspends Moderna Covid 19 Injection due to “the increased incidence of myocarditis and pericarditis after vaccination with the Moderna vaccine, as well as with vaccination using Pfizer/BioNTech,” the chief epidemiologist said in a statement.

Norway Limiting Injection to 1 Dose for Children and Teens

October 15, 2021: According to Reuters, some countries are only administering one dose of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine in children and teenagers out of concern over possible cardiovascular side effects, which are more common after the second shot than the first. Taiwan Halts 2nd Dose BioNTech Vaccination Ages 12-17, Re-Starts

November 10, 2021: Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) head Chen Shih-chung (陳時中) said a panel of experts has decided to suspend administering second doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech (BNT) COVID vaccine to children 12-17 years old amid concerns it may increase the risk of myocarditis.

November 30, 2021: Taiwan approves 2nd-dose BioNTech vaccinations for ages 12-17, while adults can begin receiving a third dose of mRNA vaccines in early 2022.

A video emerged on January 17, 2022 that appears to show a National Health Service nurse advising a caller against receiving further doses of COVID-19 vaccines as “new information” has emerged regarding safety concerns. The nurse suggests the vaccination campaign will be halted altogether soon.2) 3)
