Collaborating Centre for Oxford University and CUHK for Disaster and Medical Humanitarian Response

The Collaborating Centre for Oxford University and CUHK for Disaster and Medical Humanitarian Response (CCOUC) is an academic research organization based in Hong Kong. It was founded as a partnership between the University of Oxford and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and is housed at the Chinese University of Hong Kong Faculty of Medicine.

History

CCOUC Director Emily Chan was invited to participate in a February 11-12, 2020 event titled “2019 novel Coronavirus Global research and innovation forum: towards a research roadmap” co-hosted by the World Health Organization's R&D Blueprint and Global Research Collaboration for Infectious Disease Preparedness (GLOPID-R). She and Nina Gobat presented on the topic of “Integrating social sciences in the outbreak response”.1)
