Andrew Blackburn

Andrew Blackburn is a Canadian public health administrator based in Toronto, Ontario.

Education

From 2003-2008, Blackburn attended the University of Calgary where he received a Bachelor of Arts, combined degree in English and Political Science.1)

He then studied public policy at the University of Toronto's Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy.

Career and Affiliations

Government of Ontario

In 2015, Blackburn worked in a policy co-op for the office of the Premier of Ontario. He then worked as an executive assistant for the Ontario Ministry of Housing, and then Ontario Ministry of Energy. He moved to a legislative assistant position with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, before landing at the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, where he works now.

Mitacs

The following year, he worked for Mitacs as Assistant to the VP of National Partnerships. He registered as a lobbyist on behalf of the company in August 2016.2)

Blackburn is an observer of the Modelling Consensus Table for the Ontario COVID-19 Science Advisory Table.3)
