Emphasis should be placed on keeping things simple and finding ways to achieve the greatest impact with the least amount of effort.

The biggest problem (as I see it, which needs to be discussed) is how to rationally deal with unfounded fear.
We need to get a better understanding of how fear has been used through history to manipulate people.
In fact, any emotion can be used to manipulate people. Fear, greed, guilt, lust are some of the most powerful emotions, and severely hinder any attempt to look at things rationally.
How do we best engage with people who have lost touch with reason and are entirely driven by emotions?
(Possible answer:) Carefully deconstruct the narrative to point out how it was tailored to prey on their emotions.

The incredibly talented and knowledgeable people at OU.
We need to know everyone's skills and areas of expertise. Perhaps we could catalogue this on a wiki page. It could be anonymous. The skills and areas of expertise are all that matter.
We need to be able to draw upon each others strengths and get the right answers to important questions.
