We need to redefine science.

Here is a possible definition: “Science should be nothing more than acquiring the knowledge to accurately predict things in general, and the future in particular.”

It should not be defined by truth, because it's way too subjective.

With predictions, we can hold people accountable. We need a lot more accountability.

Developing accurate predictions is hard. Science is hard.

Explain:

• Assumptions
• Reasonings
• Different scenarios are allowed
• Ranges and percentages are preferred
• One week to update predictions after which time they must be “locked in”. No editing of predictions is allowed after this.
• Updates to predictions are allowed and encouraged but they must be appended to the original predictions with a clear date, and reasoning. (i.e. what new information has come to light.)
