The Unravelling Narrative

Starting in mid-December 2021, the “narrative” around COVID and COVID vaccines came under tremendous pressure as the Omicron variant spread like wildfire through the vaccinated community. At that point, it became clear to most observers that the COVID vaccines had little, or even negative efficacy, against infection and transmission.1)

(This page is meant to chronicle the timeline of the unravelling of the narrative.)

By the week of January 10, 2022, a number of commentators noted a significant shift in the narrative around COVID and COVID vaccines.2) For example, public health officials in many countries began pushing for the relaxation of certain restrictions, including a reduction in the number of days people testing positive for COVID should be required to isolate.3) Moreover, public messaging began to reflect the idea that most people, whether vaccinated or not, would inevitably contract COVID-19. For example, on January [TK], 2022, Anthony Fauci declared that “just about everybody” would be infected with the Omircron variant.4)
