Jeff Bezos

Jeff Preston Bezos is an American technology entrepreneur. He is the founder of Amazon.

History

Bezos was born as Jeffrey Preston Jorgensen on January 12, 1964 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.1)

Bezos participated in the 1998 class of the World Economic Forum's Global Leaders for Tomorrow program.2) He purchased the Washington Post in August 2013 for $250 million.3)

Family

Bezos is the grandson of Lawrence Preston Gise, one of the first employees of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).4) 5)
